The team meeting on the 28th was fantastic. If you didn't make it, you really missed out. We had the privilege of hearing from Edwin and Davis, the two brothers who were a part of this avalanche video (below). They were gracious enough to do a Q&A session so we could learn from their experiences and hopefully not find ourselves in the same situation or worse.
Jack provided free pizza and drinks during a talk about living accommodations at The Province for next year. Nick Carson won himself a free pair of Zeal goggles for his efforts on the hill. We talked about Nationals, CUFST hats, SIA, FWT events, upcoming coaching, and Captains & Officers elections.
It has been a fantastic past few weeks getting out into the big mountains with CUFST. We've had to play it safe and stay out of the alpine due to avy risks, but the snow has been amazing down in the trees. Here is a picture of team member Sam Seward skiing a nice double line.

For starters, a big congrats is in order to Mandy for placing first in her age group at the most recent Winter Park mogul competition!
If you want to go to the Telluride competition (March 8-9) make sure you get in touch with Mandy ASAP! If you're interested in doing a Momentum Ski Camp this summer, talk with Mandy sooner rather than later. She's working on getting things set up at a special rate for CUFST members.
Bottom line - Mandy is awesome!
